| Born in Sicily Italy, raised in NYC, now in Fort Collins, CO, Deborah Barone loves working with copper. Copper is warm and rustic. She can see floral patterns, vines and liquid movement in each design. The different gauges of wire blend and flow together with the ease of oil paints for her. She actually refers to her work as “little paintings”. Deborah sees an emotional value to the colors used in each piece. These colors evoke sentiment. Metals are used for abundance and wealth. Stones are used for grounding. Crystals encourage the flow of Chi and Coins join the composition for prosperity. Often she incorporates found objects as well. By incorporating these organic materials, her pieces inspire balance, creativity and harmony for home or office. Each piece is one of a kind. |
