| Artist Rich Kolb and his dad Dad created the first Yardbird over seventeen years ago in Jamestown, Kentucky. His Dad had spent most of his career making things from metal. The first bird came about from their talking about and tinkering with scrap materials. People instantly loved 'em! Today, Yardbirds are handcrafted in Louisville, Kentucky by Rich and a group of artisans. And our menagerie of birds, critters, dogs and cats has grown from one to over 300! Decorative and functional animal sculptures made from recycled metal. These unique and whimsical creatures for the garden and home are full of personality!
